Description
Gio Ponti for Cassina rare set of 4 dining chairs model 110 with oak frames, upholstered seat and back in ivory bouclé, and ending in brass sabots, Italy, 1950s. These Ponti classic architectural armchairs have sculptural curved armrests, slightly curved backs and cushioned seats. Fully restored and newly upholstered in a luxurious Holland & Sherry Brunswick Snow or ivory bouclé.

These Ponti set of 4 armchairs model 110 can be grouped with a set of 8 armchairs to make a matched set of 12 armchairs. The set of 8 armchairs is slightly different from the set of 4 armchairs as they came from 2 different estates. Since these armchairs are all handmade, the difference is very slight between the set of 8 and set of 4, but can be seen in the subtle details of the frame and open grain of the oak. Even side by side they are not so noticeable.
