Description This bijou pair of Perla lounge chairs was designed by Giulia Veronesi and produced by ISA Bergamo, Italy in the early 1950s.
Its sensual curves and the elegantly tapered legs give the chair a sculptural and modern feel.

The chairs have been fully reconditioned and newly upholstered in a red 'Velours Pixel' velvet fabric by Nobilis Paris. The intricate details and the contrast in the red and gold pattern give the fabric a refined texture. The black lacquered beech legs have been reinforced and refinished.

Domus No. 274, October 1952, page 4.

Additional note: The designer has been credited as G. Veronesi in the ISA advertisement in Domus. Previously, Guglielmo Veronesi was assumed to be the full name. However research has indicated it was in fact Giulia Veronesi who designed the Perla chair and sofa.
