Materials Gilded cast iron, leather, coral velvet.

Condition Good. Very good restored conditions. The gilded metal frame is in its original state with oxidation and patina. The leather armrests have been replaced. The armchairs have been reupholstered in coral velvet. Screws and metal details are all original.
Creation Date 1955
Description Iconic pair of armchairs by architect Gustavo Pulitzer Finali, originally designed for San Marco motor vessel and produced by Arflex in 1955.
Rarer (yet published) version with gilded metal base.
Provenance: private residence designed by architect Edoardo Detti, located in Forte dei Marmi

Gustavo Pulitzer Finali was a very worked influential architect and designer. He is mostly known for his work as a interior designer for motor vessel, often together with Gio Ponti.
