A handsome pair of GE 290A lounge chairs, designed by Hans J. Wegner for Getama. Frames are crafted from beautiful Danish white oak, in a reclining silhouette with a ladder back and brass hardware details. Generously proportioned, this model features a high back with cushioned headrest and wide armrests that further enhance the comfort level. Newly upholstered cushions and headrest in cozy wool Hallingdaal 65. The chairs are in beautiful restored condition, with an attractive patina to the robust oak frame. The maker's mark is stamped on the underside. Denmark, 1960s.
