A set of three mid-century Modern prototype chairs by Dutch engineer and architect Ing. J.G. Athmer. The chairs stand on a metal frame with a black fabric upholstery. Very rare pieces in a mint condition.
These chairs have a molded fiberglass shell, on a spider leg metal frame and have a black fabric upholstery. The chairs are part of a full series of chairs Athmer developed. He offered his designs and production process to Wagemans & Van Tuinen (now Artifort). They come with extensive documentation and correspondence, which is historic material and very educational research material on both the processes and communications at the time. -
