Description

Copenhagen-born, a classmate of Hans Wegner at Kunsthåndværkerskolen - Jens Risom brought the Scandinavian modern style to the US in the 1940s, gaining early fame. This pair of footstools, or benches were part of the line of furniture created at his own firm Jens Risom Design (JRD) in the 1950s - and widely popular. A floating frame in solid walnut is topped with original orange tufted vinyl. A great American Modern addition. USA, 1950s. Good vintage condition. Frame is good, minor spotting to top and edge wear.
