Description
Set of four Stickley-made chairs comprising three sides and a scarce armchair, for a total of a set of four dining chairs. Wood is a rich maple, mix of figured and grained. The seats are the original rush seats, Chairs are of generous proportions, good seat height. the arm being slightly taller. Made in the colonial revival period to reproduce the eighteenth-century Hudson River Valley chairs. Sturdy and usable in a rich, pleasing color. Some chairs branded and dated by maker.
