Description
French made circa 1770 during the reign of Louis XV, a deep-seated luxuriously upholstered and extraordinarily comfortable specimen Canape a Oreilles. Its scrolling frame is carved with petite blossoms, foliate sprays, and faintly incised panels along its crest rail. Raised on eight cabriole legs, its back has three open giltwood framed inset upholstered panels; allowing for freestanding placement in an appropriately scaled room.
