A rare French Louis XV style carved and painted bergere having crest-rail with center carved rococo foliate motif and paneled upholstered sides, back, and seat with upholstered integral footrest joined by foliate scroll form supports. This chair originally sat in a fine French shoe salon; the footrest for shoe-fitting.
