Set of Six Red Rope Chairs by Marzio Cecchi
-
Description
Beautiful set of six chairs by Marzio Cecchi from the Italian 1970s. The set was made for a hotel on Lake Garda. The set is in excellent condition. Made with an iron frame and wrapped in a thick net of red amaranth-colored rope. Its rectangular back pushes upward, creating within it a dense weave with texture created by the red rope.
Its lines are essential and clean but its rope weave reworks this concept of essentiality, transforming them into a true work of great Italian craftsmanship and creative ingenuity. The seat is made of a cushion covered with bright red chenille fabric. The lines of the feet are enhanced by their rope upholstery, which gives the chair a special focus. In fact, each chair seems to be one with the fabric, creating a feeling of softness and eccentricity. Completing the set are two high stools of the same manufacture with two attached side tables. The chairs are ideal for completing eccentric dining rooms where color and modernity are everywhere. Original vintage condition. -
