A pair of Danish neo-antique mahogany stools probably designed by the sculptor Herman Wilhelm Bissen, circa 1850s, with tight upholstered seats and a convex sided frame raised on a simple variation of the "type III" legs referred to in: Danish Neo-Antique Furniture by Mirjam Gelfer-Jørgensen.
