Pair of French 19th Century Empire Style Fauteuils

$ 2,500
  • Description
    This elegant pair of Empire style fauteuils will elevate any space to the next level of sophistication! Crafted in France, circa 1840; they are in good antique condition. Deeply toned, patinated mahogany frames beautifully compliment the stunning green velvet upholstery. Embossed with rosette and palm motifs for a smart but whimsical design with floral border. The arms feature intricately hand-carved swan forms with detailed wings on the interior and exterior; a unique and intentional characteristic. Distinctive front feet with claw details create a cohesive design. The back cushions retain the original horsehair cushioning and tan and white gingham fabric backing. Comfortable and chic, these fauteuils are perfect in any living space. Sold as a pair only. Seat height is 16-¾” and arm height is 24-⅞”. Make sure to view the detailed images for a closer look at this wonderful pair of armchairs!
