Condition: Very good vintage condition.
Pair of French Constructivist solid oak occasional chairs with bent seats and backs, circa 1960s. Dark walnut stained 1" inch thick solid oak construction with split two-piece bent laminated seats and backs. Armless side chairs with striking angled legs and rounded details. No visible joinery throughout. Curved seat and backs which makes these chairs quite comfortable. Substantial and weighty. Unmarked / unknown designer. Rustic and Modernist design with form and lines reminiscent of works by Prouve or Jeanneret. A second pair is available in a separate listing. Perfect as occasional lounge chairs in a living room group, flanking a sideboard or console table, or consider both pairs for 4 dining / game chairs. Very good vintage condition with general wear from age and use. Attractive signs of use. Beautiful aged patina. -
