Available today, this set of 2 Brazilian modern armchairs, designed by Percival Lafer in 1963, is a beautiful piece of furniture. The chairs are made with Brazilian wood and an iron structure that holds the beige leather seat together. In addition, the seat is curved and rests low to the ground, which makes it super comfortable. The name of this chair is called “MP-01,” and was the first armchair model that was produced by Percival Lafer. This chair set the stage for Percival Lafer’s career as it demonstrated his unique style and subsequent designs. If you are looking for a set of Brazilian modern armchairs, look no further!

Born in Brazil on April 12th, 1936, Percival Lafer studied at the Mackenzie Presbyterian University College of Architecture in São Paulo. After graduating, his father passed away, and he and his brothers took over Móveis Lafer, his father's furniture company. Móveis Lafer, where Percival designed a wide range of products, played a substantial role in Brazilian furniture in the second half of the 20th century. Innovations in technique and form resulted in the development of standardized elements that were reused across different product lines. These solutions included demountable and easy-to-transport products. The market welcomed Percival's creations, and the rapid industrial growth made it possible to export the pieces. The designer currently lives and works in Campos do Jordão, Brazil.
