This rare lounge chair was designed and produced in 1970 by the master Percival Lafer, this piece has a striking and comfortable design. The chair base is molded in fiber, covered with fully coated injected foam. Definitely a unique design.
The piece was restored by one of our best craftsmen in São Paulo and kept its original aura and attraction.
Architect and designer Percival Lafer believed that instead of idealizing design, often conceived as art, a piece could only be considered really relevant if it pleased the public, not just the creator.
He is not just recognized for his originality and innovation, but he is also one of the pioneers of the industrialization of the Brazilian design processes. His pieces have an excellent design quality and are made of the best materials and techniques available in traditional furniture making. For him "each project should reflect the state of the art applied to new ideas". Ahead of his time, he was a pioneer in the search for new technical resources and also in the use and combinations of materials with originality and boldness. His creations ended up conquering the world, thus helping to give new meaning to the idea of Brazilian furniture. -
