Description
New England, probably Connecticut or Massachusetts.
Maple, rush seat.
Over-all in excellent condition, minor loss/wear to seat, retains original red-wash.
Provenance: Collection of Diana Atwood Johnson.
The corner chair has a molded crest with shaped arms above carved, pierced splats and a rush seat supported by block and turned stiles and front legs joined by boldly turned front stretchers ending on turned feet. -
