Set of Six Dining Chairs in Solid Pine and Sheep Curl Bouclé, France 1970s
-
Description
This set of six French chairs was made of solid pine wood in the 1970s and has acquired a beautiful patina over the years. The typical appearance of the wood comes into its own because the parts are all nicely rounded. Tight lines are alternated by flame drawings, which are then underpinned by small knots. This ensures not only a high decorative content but also a pleasant look. The design is very robust and all parts such as the legs, beams, and stretchers are very solidly put together. The backrest consists of two parts and slopes slightly backward so your back can rest comfortably against it. A comfy rectangular seat is covered with curled sheepskin and this goes beautifully with the warmth of the wood. The condition of the chairs is consistent with age and with only minor scratches of usage on the surface of the wood.
