Description
American Chippendale mahogany slip seat side chairs with rococo carved detail on the center crest rail above a pierced back splat. The chairs rest on square legs joined by an “H” stretcher. One chair has legs ended out. Slip seats are upholstered in blue marine wool. This chair has the same format and carved details as the Thomas Tuft chair in the Winterthur permanent collection.
