Eye-catching rocking chair designed by Verner Panton, manufactured by Rosenthal in Germany in 1974.

This very comfortable lounge chair has a unique design that is a great example of Panton’s creativity in designs. It is newly upholstered in very high quality red De Ploeg fabric, the base is made of black wood, creating an appealing contrast. The chair has nog legs, it’s stability comes from added weight in the bottom that keeps it from tipping. This, together with it’s curvy design and nice cushion, creates an exceptional seating comfort and a great rocking experience!

In good original condition with minor wear consistent with age and use, preserving a beautiful patina.

Verner Panton (1926-1998) is considered one of Denmark’s most influential 20th century furniture and interior designers. During his career, he created innovative and futuristic designs in a variety of materials, especially plastics, and in vibrant and exotic colors. His style was very “1960s” but regained popularity at the end of the 20th century.
