Description
Beautifully crafted in warm oak, this antique chest of drawers has a Baroque character. Hand-built in France in the 1800s, the geometric angles of the wide feet accentuate the faceted shape of the cabinet. Ornate moldings decorate the panels of the drawers; their curved lines evoke leaves and feathers, lending an artful organic touch. The oak has been carefully restored to a beautiful natural finish — the golden hue and lively patterns of the grain bring an air of lightness and simplicity to the elaborate design.
