Description
New England, probably northwestern region of Massachusetts or Vermont, ca. 1820.
Eastern white pine with original grain-painted surface, original brass. Hinges reset, small portion of right front bracket restored.
This well-proportioned lift-top chest above two drawers is supported by a Chippendale bracket base. The exuberant multi-colored grain-painted surface has survived in remarkable condition.
