Description Very fine Welsh 17th Century refectory table, the chunky plank top with breadboard ends resting on carved apron and simply turned legs joined by original "H" stretcher, possessing a wonderfully rich color and patina.

Note: very few refectory tables were made with "H" stretchers, and most that are found started life with a more typical box stretcher which has been altered to be more useful and commercial. Not so with this table, which has only ever had this configuration.
