19th Century Federal Drop Leaf Table. American, circa 1825

Description
Nicely proportioned and well made early 19th century American mahogany drop leaf table with no restorations and in completely original condition and untouched surface.
The entire surface has mellowed to a beautiful patina; their are several scratches to the table top (normal for a table this old with normal use and the original finish); see images.
Nicely hued mahogany grain to the end caps and table top; all in all, a nice color.
Structurally sound.
The legs are nicely carved with trumpet turnings to the top part and acanthus leaf turnings twisted around the leg to the tapered bottom; ending in the original brass capped castors.
The four corners of the "drop leaves" are accented with a heart shaped notch out; leaves are supported by a fitted pull out from the table top support; leaves affixed by their original brass hinges (see image).
Dimensions: 29" high x 36" deep x 51 1/2" long (when open and leaves extended).
19 1/2" when leaves are down. -
