19th Century Waterfall Edge Console Table

$ 12,000
  • Description
    19th Century Altar Table with waterfall top and cabriole legs. A rare Chinese Antique Altar Console Table. Few waterfall edge style tables have been found amongst antique Chinese Altar Tables. This tables sets itself apart with its style and individuality. A waterfall edge top console table with delicately carved cabriole legs having turned up scroll feet on stand with carved feather insets center. Delicately carved spandrels adorn the arched joinery of top to legs. The waterfall top edges terminate to a scalloped apron between each leg above a spaced strut. A superior design with complex miter joinery between the top and the legs. Some sings of repairs to these areas rooted in the tables history. A stunningly remarkable table of significant design very special not common to traditional Chinese Altar tables. In good condition as noted some signs of repair to edges of joinery.
