Magnificent large conference or dining table designed by Theo Tempelman for AP Originals, The Netherlands 1960. This exceptionally and unique table has a large, trapezium shaped tapered top made of nicely grained warm teak combined with a light oak rim. This high quality top rest on an elegant refined chrome steel base with black steel details. The top consists of one part with a length of 370 cm and a width of 100 to 120 cm, which is very unique. It can use up easily to fourteen or sixteen chairs. Striking Dutch design from Mid-Century. Marked with original manufacturers label underneath the top.
This large conference table is in very good condition, the top is refinished with a high quality UV and water protective lacquer with preservation of authenticity. Also completely structural checked and ready to use. An incredible catch for any modern home, office or interior.
In 1974, Tempelman started his own agency together with Hein Salomonson and Rik Egberts, for larger assignments. He mainly got to know the practice when he started working for designer Hein Salomonson. Together they completely furnished a building in Amsterdam where, among other things, this beautiful table comes from.
