Description French designers Adrien Audoux & Frida Minet were committed to a design ethos based on accessible materials as a mean to represent the realities of modern life. In reaction to the Paris Exposition des Arts Decoratifs et Industriels of 1925, which they deemed to only cater to a wealthy elite they set to ground their designs in something more homespun, even rustic. Their designs for Vibo Vesoul, produced using seagrass rope cord, became their leitmotiv – now highly sought after.

This low console expresses their humble ambitions, petite in stature for a modest interior, using the natural beauty of oak and rope. The legs and rim of the console are bound in seagrass rope, allowing only the feet and the table top to reveal themselves.
