First Arflex Edition by Michel Kin Elliptical travertine brass Coffee Table 1960
-
Description
Extremely rare first edition elliptical coffee table by French designer Michel Kin for Arflex, Italy, from the early 1960s. The top is made of Italian travertine with an elliptical shape, supported by a brass pedestal with adjustable foot. The First Edition tables, such as this example, had a brass finish base, the chrome base arriving only in the mid-1970s in Arflex catalogue. This coffee table was usually presented paired with Zanuso's 'lady' and 'senior' lounge chairs from Arflex, with their brass legs. We fully restored the table, and repolished the brass base, which is stamped at 3 different places. A truly rare find, found in an amazing condition.
