Description This "wooden table with metal support" was designed by Italian architect Augusto Bozzi for Saporiti. It was awarded with the "honorable mention" at the 1955 Premio Compasso d'Oro by ADI, that still keeps the documentation of every edition of the prize. It is made of a black varnished cast iron structure with a teak wood tray top, simply set in place. It remains in very good vintage conditions. Augusto Bozzi was Saporiti's main designer. The company was based in Besnate and advertised regularly on Domus magazine, where this coffee table was published in an advertisement in 1955.
