"Coolidge" Side Table in Birch and Marble by A. E. Hjorth for NK

Description
Rectangular side table designed by Axel Einar Hjorth (1888-1959) for Nordiska Kompaniet, from the “Coolidge” series (named after American president Calvin Coolidge), having a Greek meander pattern in relief encircling the top apron and a side drawer opening discretely from one face of the apron, and four round legs with turned details at their top and foot, in Baltic birch and retaining its original marble top in handsome shades of gray and purple, Sweden, 1927. Metal NK tag numbered “K329902110” attached to underside of apron frame.
