    Handsome library table or writing table/desk in the Modern Classicism style by Axel Einar Hjorth (1888-1959) for Svenska Möbelfabrikerna i Bodafors, featuring four Tuscan column legs on a muscular Baroque-inspired stretchers, and a rectangular top with its edges sculpted in an elegant ogee, all meticulously crafted in satiny Baltic birch, Sweden, 1920s. A desk variation of this design was exhibited by Bodafors at the 1923 Göteborg Jubilee and then included in Erik Wettergren's "L'Art décoratif Moderne en Suède" (pg. 157), a survey of the best examples of contemporary Swedish design published to coincide with the 1925 Paris Exposition.
