Constructed from a mix of solid and veneered walnut with exceptional old-growth wood grains this desk features superb carpentry in the form of it's sleek curved drawer faces, hidden corner pulls and raised corners carved out of solid walnut. Condition Details: This perfectly-sized writers desk by Drexel has recently undergone a partial restoration and the results are absolutely breathtaking. The mix of solid and veneered walnut are in excellent condition showing only minor nicks and scratches (which can be seen in the photos provided) and are mostly localized to the lower legs. The desk top has been professionally refinished and shows no gouges, stains or deep scratches whatsoever and the walnut woodgrains are absolutely mesmerizing in natural light. All three drawers open and close exactly as they should and the interiors have been completely detailed. This desk is highly functional, structurally sound and ready for a lifetime more of use.
