Description
Third generation furniture designer Carl Auböck is known for his live edge work - with this classic example from the 1950s. Starting with a large walnut slab, the coffee table is hand crafted, the top finished to a lacquered sheen and darkened sides. Tri-pod legs are made of brass tubing that fit over metal supports terminating in rubber pads. No marks, but unmistakably Auböck. Manufactured by Viennese workshop Wiener Werkstätte owned by Josef Hoffman and Koloman Moser. Condition: some wear top lacquer, sides and brass legs. Great vintage condition. Greatest width is 17 1/4" and shortest at endpoint is 9".
