Edward Wormley for Dunbar Server / Bar Cart, Model 5433, circa 1953
-
Description
Edward Wormley Walnut and Japanese Fir serving cart for Dunbar, model 5433, dating from the early 1950s.
An unusual aspect of the cart is that the door face is decorated with custom ordered hand-painted silver foil.
The paper resembles hand painted Laverne silver foil wall paper of the period and may have been a Laverne studio product.
There is a subtle shimmer to the foil panels in a raking light.
The cart has the green Dunbar Berne label affixed to the interior of the drawer.
The trapezoidal folding top when extended measures 54 inches in length.
The bar cart is in excellent condition.
In addition we are offering a matching sideboard, a bookcase/plate stand and a matching dining table (see image #2) which are all part of the original dining room suite available in separate listings or If you are interested in purchasing the suite we will be happy to offer you a group price. -
