French 18th Century Painted Louis XVI Style Console
-
Description
A delightful 19th century Louis XVI style console from France, circa 1790! An amazing gray and black marble top, in good antique condition, is wonderfully shaped with the body of the console. Although a charming escutcheon plate is fixed to the facade, there is no drawer housed on the apron. Flanking the deeply fluted apron are small carved ribbon and laurel swags. Rounded front corners continue to turned, fluted legs. The worn blue-gray paint reveals the original wood tone without taking away from the integrity of the console. Make sure to view the detailed images of this gorgeous piece!
