A remarkably beautiful and interesting drapery table, made of solid pine, in 19th century France. These long tables were used by tailors and drapers to work lengthy yards of fabric into curtains, suits and all types of tailored textiles. An interesting feature of this drapery table is the inset meter stick incorporated into the top surface for quick and easy measuring. The table has a utilitarian form with linear legs and stretcher – accented with a simple, chamfered edge. A wonderful antique artisan’s table that could be used as a dining or as a work/project table today.
