French Louis XVI Period 18th Century Walnut Desk with Carved Fluted Apron
-
Description
A French Louis XVI period walnut desk from the 18th century, with single drawer, carved fluted motifs, tapered legs and dark patina. Created in France during the 18th century, this walnut desk showcases the stylistic characteristics typical of the Classical Louis XVI era. The desk features a rectangular planked top with distressed appearance, sitting above an elegant apron carved with fluted motifs and concealing a small single drawer opening thanks to a ring pull. This apron is carved on all sides, the table will therefore be able to float in a room and be seen from all angles. The ensemble is raised on four tapered legs with fluted accents, mounted on petite triangular feet. With its clean lines and dark walnut patina, this French Louis XVI period desk from the 18th century will make for a wonderful addition to any home, perhaps placed in a living room, bedroom or study.
