French Pair of Mid Century Gilt Glass Etageres
-
Description
A glamorous pair of side tables, two tiered etageres from mid-20th century France, made in the style of Louis XVI by way of Maison Baguès. Crafted of brass frames terminating in artichoke finials, the upper trays are clear glass, loosely gilded with thin gold leaf from the back to show each ripple and wabi sabi imperfections. The fluted brass frames reflect any ambient light off the thin, delicately fluted Neoclassical legs while lower shelves are black leather finished with gold tooling as a unifying touch that exudes sophistication. These resplendent occasional tables are sure to delight in a multitude of interior tastes from maximalism to richly layered traditional. Please view the detailed images. Sold as a pair.
