Chippendale Carved Tiger Maple Dressing Table
Philadelphia, ca. 1760–1775.
Tiger maple. Secondary woods: yellow pine, poplar and white cedar. Minor repairs, replaced brass, otherwise original throughout.
For a virtually identical example see: Israel Sack Collection Vol. VIII, also shown in Albert Sack’s, "New Fine Points of Furniture", as a masterpiece.
