    Rare “Medici” coffee table in patinated pewter and bronze with etched figural motifs around the top by Philip and Kelvin LaVerne, American 1960’s (signed on top “Philip Kelvin LaVerne”). This table is stunning. The base is a unique sculpture which perfectly complements the table top.

    Philip and Kelvin LaVerne Sculpture III catalog, printed in the 1960’s, there is a photo of this table on page 21 and in the back of the catalog the description of the table states: “MEDICI - Michelangelo’s major sculptures from the Medici Chapel in Florence are combined with the slave figures from the Sistine Chapel. Created as a contemporary sculpture, the abstract bronze base complements the timeless classical surface.”
