Designed and hand-made in New York, this table was made in a time where designs that collectors know and love today were in their infancy. Thanks to the appreciation of their beauty, we can continue to love them today, and the passage of time has only emboldened them more. This example has the "Chan" patterned top, rimmed with antiqued brass, and set on the brass columned base with three hand-cut brass wings adorning it. The detail in the top is exceptional, and retains some of the colorful spots it would have had when it was new over half a century ago. The base, like the top, is of the utmost quality, using solid metal sheets for the wings. Like all the Chan pieces, this tabletop is signed, etched into the pewter beneath the wall graphic.

This table has been in my personal collection for over 15 years. I never used it, and the original owners before me used it sparingly as a center table in their incredible Long Island home. There is little wear to the top, or the table in general, outside of the natural patina that happens as these tables age. Original vintage condition.
