Description
An unusual Austrian Secessionist period card table with four synchronized mechanical corner trays and one push-pull drawer, each tray with brass lined cigar rest, drink recess and flip-out tray, the trays are linked by a hidden wooden gear mechanism allowing them all to deploy together when one is pulled; the push-pull drawer with brass latching hardware; inset blind tooled leather top; the legs terminating in brass sabots and linked by a brass clad stretcher. Design attributed to Adolf Loos. Vienna circa 1905.
