Description | This unique Mid-century round dining table, made from solid oak entirely covered by real tortoise shells fully varnished, with brass addition, was made in Milano by a small design studio called Ottini in 1973. Ottini were making pieces of furniture to order for renown architects and interior designers using only high end materials such as goatskin parchment, python, crocodile, and tortoise shells. The color palette and details of the tortoise shells patchwork is just astonishing. The design itself is typical of Italian Mid-century, rounded shapes with brass accents, remembering Willy Rizzo table design. A truly unique piece, extremely rare, found in a great vintage condition. | ||||||||
