Creation Date circa 1750
Description George II period mahogany pier table, in the manner of William Kent. The carved cabriole legs support a frieze with a lion's head mask, below an egg and dart pediment, and perimeter lamb's tongue carving, with acanthus carving at the corners. The legs with acanthus carving at the knees, and terminating with lion's paw feet. The right end with a hidden drawer.

Provenance: a prominent California residence, designed by Sister Parrish in the '60's.
