A large Mexican Modern brooch by Antonio Pineda Taxco circa 1950-60s. The bespoken piece features seven articulated sprays from a ribbon knot, stamens-like, and capped with amethyst stones at the ends. The design is bold and refined at the same time, probably inspired by indigenous trumpet flower. Stamped verso with crown mark for Antonio Pineda, Silver, Hecho en Mexico, 970 and Eagle 17 mark.
It measures: 4.2" x 3" x 1.2". -
