This amazing brooch is attributed to Fulco Di Verdura and it is truly special. This sculpture is carved bone with Peridot and Demantoid Garnets. This is a detailed piece of a warrior on horseback. he has a crown, sword and shield all encrusted with Demantoid Garnets and Peridots, even the horses bridal. This piece is 14K yellow Gold and it has 5.25 Carats of Peridot and 42 pieces of Demantoid Garnets. The Garnets are a darker green. This weighs in at 18.41 Grams , it is 2 1/4" tall or 5 cm and 3 .25cm or 1 1/4" wide. The carving is amazing and is almost in perfect condition except for the loss of one Garnet and the end of the sword is missing a small element, either gold or bone.
