This 3.45-carat diamond displays all the characteristics of the renowned Golconda diamonds. This pear-cut gem is certified by the Gemological Institute of America as being D-color, and type IIa, meaning there is no trace of nitrogen (the element that gives diamonds color), key hallmarks of all Golcondas. The Type IIa classification also means that this diamond is a full two shades whiter than a typical D-color diamond. The clarity grade is SI1.
