1960’s Sputnik Gold Diamond and Gemstone Ring. Set with three Yellow Green rectangular set Emeralds, approximately 3.00 ct, total weight, average SI1 (type 111) clarity, four round brilliant cut diamonds, approximately 1.00 ct, total diamond weight, average SI1 clarity, average J colour, 12 small single cut diamonds, approximately 0.24 ct total weight, two cabochon rubies and 24 small round cut blue sapphires. Stamped 14K on interior of shank. Present Ring Size 7.5. Total Item Weight: 13.40 grams. The first satellite - Sputnik - was launched in 1957 and became very popular in American jewelry. This ring probably represents stones from around the globe. Demi Sphere measures approximately 1.25 x 1.00 inches.
