Dining Table, Edward Wormley for Dunbar, c. 1960

Description
Beautifully designed and crafted dining/game/center hall table with a 48" round mahogany top over a sculptural, ebonized mahogany base with adjustable polished chrome disc feet by Edward Wormley for Dunbar. Signed with brass "D" tag.

Edward Wormley's furniture designs utilized quality materials and were understated and well-made, taking the elements from classical/traditional design and translating them into a modern vernacular. His noteworthy contemporaries, Harvey Probber and T.H. Robsjohn-Gibbings, incorporated a similar aesthetic.
