    Pennsylvania, circa 1825-1835.

    Inscribed on backside with various names and dates including “Sabina Schwartz / Frederick Schwartz 1825 / Anna Schwartz / Mary Balp 1833”

    Ex-Ed and Mildred Bohne, and Ralph Esmerian collection, A tray of this size and construction was known in the period as a “double sheet waiter” so named because it was fashioned from two sheets of tinned iron that were seamed together vertically.
