Description
A large stunning dining table by Karl Springer, circa 1970s. Beveled top with rounded corners is supported by two semi circular pedestal base. Completely clad with lacquered goat skin. Simple form that showcases the luxury material and superb craftsmanship. Labeled with a metal tag "Karl Springer" and both bases are branded with the same serial number as shown. It can be used as a dining or conference table or a bespoken executive desk. It has an original protective glass top so the table surface has been well protected through the years. The bases are not fixed to the top so it is easy to move and install.
Detailed condition: Wear consistent with age and use. Areas of stable shrinkage between the parchment seams, a couple on top and most under the top and inside one base. Small surface scratches and dings on the bases, . Overall beautiful patina and presence. Small chip on the edge of the glass.
